We have had many visitors over the past two weeks, including family and friends from as far away as California. Yesterday Kelly and Tim celebrated their second anniversary with Mass and renewal of their vows. It was a somber service but one reminiscent of that beautiful, joyous, spiritual day two years ago. They have truly lived out their vows and have seen much joy and a lifetime of suffering in such a short time. May God's grace continue to be upon them, and us all as we continue to implore God for a healing miracle this Holy Week before Easter. She continues to handle her suffering with such grace and dignity and I admire her so much. Thank you for your continued prayers. We also want to thank all of you "Kelly's Cooks" who have been keeping us well fed over the past month and beyond, as well as all of the cards, flowers and more for Kelly. You all mean so much to our family, and the kindness and generosity we have been shown over the past 13 months will never be forgotten.

This past weekend, Kelly's best friends came to visit from Dallas. We also had sweet family friends, some of the Capelles, visit from South Carolina and Mississippi. Though Kelly was a bit sad and exhausted on Sunday when everyone left, it was a such a wonderful reunion weekend and good to see everyone. Saturday was sunny and beautiful and Kelly got to spend some time outside soaking up a little Vitamin D and fresh air.

Sunday night was most special as many parishioners and friends from around Jackson gathered behind our house for a candlelight prayer service. We were told that those who couldn't make it gathered in many churches around Jackson or prayed from their homes. Friends from St. Mary's displayed countless candles around the pool outside Kelly's window, on the table in the shape of a cross and on the fence posts surrounding the backyard. Everyone gathered carried a single candle. It was such a beautiful, moving and peaceful sight to be surrounded by so much love and support for our family, especially for Kelly. They offered up the rosary, divine mercy chaplet and other prayers together for Kelly's healing miracle. We opened the windows and joined in prayer. Afterward a friend delivered notes to Kelly she has been collecting for months from friends and others who have been praying for her. What a wonderful ending to the weekend.

My mom expresses our gratitude best:

Thank you all for a beautiful night of prayer.  We were all enveloped in the love of all present, and truly feel that Our Lady and Jesus were among us as we plead for a miracle for physical healing for Kelly.  She came out into the living area and sat in front of her statue of Mary and watched and prayed along with you, we could hear perfectly.  The candles added to the prayers rising to heaven, so glorious they were. After you left I walked around them all and noticed the one on the diving board, Immaculate Heart of Mary, which I found this morning outside the door.  I will keep it burning in her room.   Sam commented afterward that our pool is actually in the shape of a rosary, something we had never noticed.  We left the blinds open in the bathroom all night, so throughout the night Kelly, her sisters, and I could marvel at the sight of the luminaries. And in the bedroom the flickering glow gave a warm sense that all is well.
It is an evening we will never forget, and continue to pray God's Will will be for her healing here.
I love you all,
Tricia

This weekend Fr. Robbie came to say Mass for us and to visit yesterday, we always love it when he comes to visit. A friend of Kelly's from high school was also passing through town and stopped in to see her as well.

'Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen.'

It has been a rocky road since returning home from the hospital. Cancerous tumor cells were found around her intestines and on her bladder during surgery, leading to her extended hospital stay and rough recovery. Her doctor was able to remove the tumor on her bladder and some of the tumor around her intestines but not all of it.

We are now a year out from her diagnosis and Kelly needs your prayers now more than ever. We are beginning alternative therapies in addition to her pain and nausea meds to treat her symptoms and to beat the cancer. Please keep her in your daily prayers and offer up Lenten sacrifices for Kelly. We are praying that God will use her suffering for good and that her healing miracle will come soon.

Our Lady of Fatima and Medjugorje, Pray for Kelly.

'Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.' -James 1:2-4
